Banana Bread

"This is THE best Banana bread I've ever had and the one my kids beg me for and also the one I make for X-mas gifts every year. I found this recipe in an old Settlement cookbook (my favorite cookbook) and it's extremely easy to make. It has just the right amount of moist flavor and is great either chilled or at room temperature. This bread freezes well too and is easiest to slice when it's cold. Enjoy!"

  1. this was a very nice banana bread.made my kitchen smell wonderful as it was baking.i spread one slice with peanut butter as you can tell from the pictures, and the peanut butter didn't overpower the banana taste at all.thank you for posting.

  2. This was a great recipe. I was looking for a banana bread recipe that was lower in fat and sugar than my usual one, without compromising moisture. This definitely is one to try!

Hi all! I'm just your average Mom that loves to cook and bake. I've always had a curious nature so it's no surprise that I love to try all different recipes I find and add my own little touch here and there. I'm also a nascar addict, and appreciate anything of vintage such as old cars, motorcycles , etc. I'm also a music buff and it doesn't matter what kind, I love it all! My kids are an endless source of pride and joy for me, and now that I have a grandson I get to spoil and get away with it! My kids seem to have enjoyed being mom's "guinnea pigs" when it comes to eating what I've made. That tells me I must be doing something right! Friends and family haven't ever complained either! I just love creating a memory from a meal and hope by sharing what I have , more can do the same.
