  1. Puree bananas in a blender or food processor.
  2. In a gallon pitcher combine pureed bananas, grapefruit juice, lemon sherbet and crushed ice.
  3. Stir and serve.

I found this a very refreshing drink. I think the combinations of citrus flavors, added to the sweetness of the banana was creative and zesty. I really liked this surprisingly good drink. I know that I will use it this summer. Very refreshing! Thanks Char!

I'm honestly not sure if my toddler would eat this. I suspect that unless you use the ruby grapefruit it will be too tart and the lemon sherbert may be too unusual for some babies. My other HUGE concern is that some lemon sherbert recipes contain quite a bit of sugar, and given the ingredients I have seen in a sherbert recipe on this site, it is quite possible that 1 serving would contain 3-6 T of sugar. I would certainly be very cautious about giving that to an infant.
