This is a very easy and tasty cake.I am hopeless when it comes to baking but it came out beautifully soft and moist.I added a touch of cinnamon and next time I will also add some walnuts.Thank you for posting this lovely recipe.
Not too sweet, but I topped it off with clear sugar crystals for extra texture and sweetness
This was an exceptional recipe. It took no time at all to prepare. I chose to use fresh bananas and fresh blueberries. I coated the blueberries in about a tablespoonful of flour prior to adding them to the batter. This way it kept the bread from turning purple.<br/>This recipe has been added to my collection and I will be making this loaf again very soon. Thank you, Bliss.
I've made these twice and they are the best. The oatmeal gives them a little more volume and the ingredients list is shorter than others. Better than the higher rated recipes. I increased the sugar to 3/4 cup to make then a little sweeter.
Congrats! Your scrumptious Banana Blueberry Bread was featured on our homepage as the "Recipe of the Day" ! (6/25/11)
THIS STUFF IS GREAT! however, i only gave 4 stars because i made some changes:
i used fresh blueberries, 4 bananas, 2/3 cup of oatmeal.
And i ADDED 1 1/2 tsp vanilla ext, 2 tsp cinnamon, and a few dashes each of ginger powder and chai spice, and a PINCH of nutmeg.
MY apt smelled so good while this was baking! i couldnt wait to taste a slice slatherd with butter and it was well worth the wait! Will deff make again!
It was good, but not great. I liked that the bread was moist and I liked the combo of banana and blueberries. It seemed like it need a tad bit more flavor. Maybe vanilla or a smidge of cinnamon. What I didn't care for was the texture of the oatmeal, although I sure it is much healthier. Family said the break was "OK", so I'm nut sure I'd make it again.
Very EASY to make & TASTY!!
AMAZING! This bread super good. I used brown sugar and instead of using the 1/3 cup of oil I put half apple sauce and half of the oil. Thank you so much for the recipe :)
I picked this recipe b/c of the oatmeal in it. I like that the oatmeal isn't noticeable with the consistency of the bread. The bread isn't "heavy" either. It's not too sweet and not too fattening, which is also a BIG plus. I used 1/2 ww and 1/2 white flour. We all loved it!
