So nasty I threw it out! I did use Stivia instead of sugar. That probably did not help. I've figured out I'm just not a fan. Weird after taste.

Excellent bran bread (and a bit easier to make than muffins). I used Kellog's Bran Buds (shorter pieces than All-Bran) and 1/3 cup butter, adding in 2 extra tbs. of applesauce to make up the difference. I use this amount of butter/applesauce for all my bran muffin recipes and it always works out! I used a long wooden skewer to check for doneness, since it's hard to tell in banana/bran recipes. This was very flavorful and had a good crust. I did add a few dried currants and cranberries to it, too. Thanks for posting, Senseicheryl. Roxygirl
