A very healthy way to start the day. This is not an overly sweet smoothie, so if you want add some honey. I like it just the way it is.
- 2 small bananas (or 1 large banana)
- 7 fluid ounces ice cold milk
- 1 tablespoon rolled porridge oats
- 2 ice cubes
- Place all ingredients into the blender, mix for approximately 30 seconds.
This made a great breakfast on the run. Made using a frozen banana, 8 ounces of milk, no ice as the banana was frozen. Also add 1 T. flax meal. Did not add any honey as we both found it was sweet enough with out any additional sweetener. Thanks so much the post.
Soooo Good!!! My banana was frozen and so I opted out of the ice. Also threw in a touch of honey, another T. of oatmeal and 1 T. of flaxmeal like Lynn did. What a great breakfast Seesko.:-) Made for ZaarStars.
This is *so* good... super quick, and oh-so-yummy! I just whipped one up tonight, and will make another one for breakfast in the morning. I omitted the ice, used rice milk, and added 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed for additional nutrition. The level of sweetness was just perfect as is... no honey needed! :) Thanks for a great smoothie recipe!
