A great recipe for beating stress!
- Peel and slice a banana.
- Put it into a freezer-proof container and freeze for minimum 2 hours or overnight.
- Peel and chop the kiwi fruits.
- Place the banana, kiwi and milk in a blender.
- Process until smooth.
- Serve chilled!
The smoothie tasted good but left an immediate and unpleasant burning sensation in mine and my wife's mouth - almost like I'd sucked on a hot pepper. I'm not sure if this is normal for kiwi as I don't use them very much, but I'm hesitant to experiment with this recipe again.
I must say, I was intrigued by the reports in the other reviews about a strange aftertaste. So I just had to try it. After all, if it was bad, it wasn't like it took a lot of time or ingredients. So followed the recipe and used almond milk. I thought it tasted great, and then I waited for the strange aftertaste. Nope, never came. So I'm giving five stars because it was easy and good!
This was a fairly good recipe. I didn't freeze the fruit b/c I was making it as a last minute idea and I used 2 bananas and 2 kiwis with 1 cup vanilla soy milk. I also added about a cup of ice cubes. It needs another ingredient, something to make it smoother like plain yogurt.
