"My mother got this recipe from a friend and made it the other night. I loved it and asked her for the recipe. I am posting it on here so that I don't lose it."

ingredients
- 1⁄3 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1⁄3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
directions
- Combine all ingredients in a screw-top jar. Cover and shake.
- Serve over whatever mixed salad greens you prefer.

This was great! Made it just like the recipe and my husband absolutly LOVED it! I might play with the herbs in it in the future just becauce I have several growing in my yard.

<p>I have loved to bake things as long as I can remember. My father worked as a baker for a while before I was born and thus had a love for baking as well. I still remember the smells that would greet me some days when I came home from school. My mother is also a good baker and coming from Germany has many good cake recipes. My sister and I were always included in the baking process and, of course, were allowed to lick the beaters and the bowls upon completion. I attribute this early involvement in the process to my current love of making home baked goods.</p>
