      Very good with ground turkey. I had only whole wheat bread, but that worked fine. Also used onion powder instead of fresh onion. If I would change anything in making it again, I think I would have to dilute the condensed soup just enough to make it more like a gravy because it just sat there like a gel on top of those meatballs! Also, I think this recipe would turn out just as well if the whole cooking process were done on the stovetop without turning on the oven and using an extra pan. We enjoyed it served over egg noodles with steamed broccoli.

      I made this for dinner last night, and found it easy to make & delicious. Both DH and my 3 year old DD really enjoyed it. I did change a couple things: 1) Instead of cubing the bread, I grated it into small crumbs. 2) I added a splash of worchestershire sauce to the meatball mixture, and approx. 1TBS worchestershire sauce to the soup before pouring it over the meatballs. 3) I used about 2-3 TBS of onion, minced. The meatballs were really moist, and the soup made a terrific gravy. I served it with mashed potatoes and green beans. Next time I make it, I'll probably add a can of mushrooms to the gravy before baking. This is a definite keeper! :-) P.S. I'm still trying to figure out what part the baking powder plays in this recipe...
