Baker's Cheese Straws

"From the Charlotte Cookbook 1969."

• Serves: 8

ingredients

• 2 (11 ounce) packages pie crust mix
• 1 lb sharp cheddar cheese
• 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper, to taste

directions

1. Empty pie crust mix into mixing bowl. grate cheese on top. Allow to reach room temperature. Sprinkle liberally with pepper.
2. Knead, knead, knead.
3. Roll out as pie crust on floured board and cut in strips.
4. Cook at 375°F for about 8 minutes.
