Very easy and very good. Made half a recipe and used my own pasta sauce.
I made this for my step-daughter's birthday. She's part Italian and she loved it. I'm ZERO Italian and I loved it. My only modifications were to use one cup sour cream and half a cup ricotta cheese and I used two frozen hamburger patties and two frozen Italian sausage patties cooked in the toaster oven before sauteing with the onions. It was all mounded in a 13x9 pan, so be aware. I baked it for 20 minutes covered and 10 minutes uncovered in our toaster oven (to prevent burning the top).
This is much simpler to make than lasagna or manicotti. Very rich and delicious.
Made this on a whim...was iffy about the sour cream but so glad I added it! It was delicious! Everyone loved it and no one believed it had sour cream in it. This is a new favorite for us.
I thought this recipe was great and vey easy to make. I omitted the ground beef and instead sauteed vegetables (onions, green peppers, garlic, portobella mushrooms, carrots and zuchinni all diced like chunky salsa) then added plain tomato sauce and paste along with herbs and a little bit of sugar instead of jarred sauce. It made for a very filling dinner. :) Thanks for sharing this recipe!

I made this recipe for a church meeting and it was well received. I was asked many times for the recipe but I wasn't telling, lol. I don't like ricotta cheese either so I had to try this and I'm glad I did!!!

I just made this last night and my boyfriend LOVED it. He hates onions and when he saw me chop up a whole one I thought for sure I couldn't get him to eat it. But he ended up asking for thirds! Thanks.
Just got done eating. Wow! Delicious, indeed. I added 2 things not on recipe. Added fresh garlic to ground beef and onions while cooking and approx 1 lb fresh mushrooms, in big chunks to the sauce while it cooked. Scrumptious! Will make this for guests next time. Tried it out on hubby and myself and 2 thumbs up from us both. Thanks for sharing Connie!
This was a delicious version of baked ziti! I added a little extra cheese (b/c we like it that way) and used ground sausage instead of beef. I really liked the different flavor of the sour cream and will probably use this baked ziti recipe from now on, thank you for sharing!
