  1. Pretty dish! The onion came out nice and tender, and the flavors of the Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar helped to compliment the sweet onion. Thanks for sharing! Culinary Quest '14

  2. Excellent recipe! The flavors were so good, I will definately be making this again. Great for company!

  3. I made an onion in the microwave yesterday; on high for 5 minutes. It does not need anything else, just salt! Delicious!

  4. Loved this. It's reminiscent of French onion soup. Would totally serve this at a dinner party as a side. Thanks for posting Agent Evelyn!! Made for Culinary Quest FP 2014.

  5. DH would give it 5 and I would give a 4.5 so five star it is. Other than putting the chopped scrapes back in to the onion I followed the recipe exactly. For myself I would omit the sugar next time. DH loves it as is. My onions were large and took nearly 90 minutes. Made for Culinary Quest 2014

I moved out here many, many years ago from Ottawa, Canada - so I am blessed in having two wonderful heritages! I suffer from compulsive obsessive behaviour with regard to food and my psychiatrist thought it would be a good idea to find a 'society' where many have the same problem and try to find a cure. So far, I've copied a couple of thousand recipes from this site and my psychiatrist has thrown the towel in and refuses to answer the phone when I call. What did I do wrong? Got 3 kids that keep me on the go - 10 and under at this point (2008) - I may not get round to updating this for a few years, so you'll have to do your own maths. I teach English full-time and Greek Cookery part-time. I would like to make the cooking part of it full-time and the English Grammar part of it part-time. That's all for now.
