Delicious meal my mother in law often makes family during the colder months...tastes and smells delicious.
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 dash salt
- 1 dash pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1⁄4 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 3 (10 1/2 ounce) cans condensed tomato soup
- 1 green pepper, sliced
- 2 small onions, sliced
- 8 rolls
- Form hamburger patties with first 5 ingredients.
- Brown them in the oven.
- Add tomato soup, green pepper, and onion to the baking pan or roaster pan (if doubled).
- Continue cooking for another hour at 350 degrees f.
My fiance said to DEFINITELY give this 5 stars. He commented that it "tasted like a little meatloaf in a burger" and he doesn't even LOOK at this site. Thanks so much!!
This is a really good burger - tastes like a meatloaf burger. Easy to put together. I halved the recipe, used panko breadcrumbs and a yellow pepper instead of a green one. Other than that, I followed the recipe as directed with really tasty results! I would make this again. Groovy GastroGnomes, ZWT5, Australia.
