Ok, this is just plain ole cooked rice. It is ready for you to put your own topping on, to add butter and sugar for breakfast, or any number of ways you like to fix it.
- Combine all ingredients in a 2-quart casserole dish.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
exactly what I was looking for. I double this every time..turns out great! Instead of just water I drop in a chicken bouillon cube before mixing it all together.
I fixed this tonight and it was very flavorful- I did add extra Smart Balance and used a large salad fork to fluff it up about 10 mins. before cook time was up. Normally I use the stove top method but find baked rice is more delicious. Thank you for submitting a nice rice recipe.
This is the easiest way to fix plain rice. Have always made my rice using the stove top method with no problem. But this is so much more convenient as well as failproof. Thanks Darlene for a recipe that will be repeated again and again.
