Made this last Sunday for a soup lunch at church. There were alot of soups but mine only had about a bowl left. Everyone really liked this and I had requests for the recipe. Thanks, I'm sure I will make this again...
I'm a huge fan of Panera's Baked Potato Soup, and wanted to try making my own. This is an excellent soup, but I think next time I'll get the potatoes almost to where I'd need them to be for mashing, and probably cut back on the roux by half and add another 1/2 cup of milk or so. It was VERY thick, so I think it could be thinner, but still excellent! DH had about three bowls in one sitting! Thanks so much!
A guilty pleasure on a cool night. I followed the directions as stated. My husband came in and said, "Mmmm comfort food!" He ate 3 bowls!
This is a very delicious recipe! I will definitely make again. The only changes I made was reduce this recipe to 2-3 servings and added salt and pepper. This soup is very delicious and tastes just like the restaurant ones! Thank you for posting this recipe up, its a def. keeper.
Thick and delicious! Needed a lot of salt and pepper, but that was the only addition I made.
Yum!!! Followed exactly and it was perfect. Just what I was looking for. Thank you!!!
So good! It tasted just like a loaded baked potato. I loved how thick and hearty it was. Next time I might add a little more milk just to loosen it up a little but it was good as is too. Thanks!
This was a very hearty, delicious soup and one of the better potato soups I have tasted. I doubled the recipe for my family of 6 and had more than enough for 2 good meals. Thank you for sharing!
My goodness! Now this is a true 5 star recipe! I've never made such a delicious potato soup. I told my husband he would marry me over this soup (if we weren't already married..hehe) It was tasting incredible even before adding the cheese. I added a little ground cayenne, salt & pepper.....it is amazing! Thank you!
If I could give this 10 stars I would, this was the best potatoe soup we have ever had. Thanks for such a great recipe!
