This was simple to put together the night before and even more simple to put in the oven the next morning. I used both the nutmeg and the cinnamon and it gave it a tasty, eggnog-ish flavor. The pecans get toasted in the oven and add a bit of specialness to it. All in all, it's a keeper that I'll use again.

This was delicious. I sliced the bread and let it dry out a bit for a few hours by setting on a wire rack before assembling. Got rave reviews from my brunch guests. Will certainly be keeping this recipe handy.

I made this as breakfast in bed for my BF for Valentine's Day. It was very good french toast. I used both the cinnamon and nutmeg and we liked it that way. Next time I would add the chopped pecans to the egg mixture so that they stick to the french toast better. Thank you!

Oh, yum! Perfect on Valentine's Day morning! I didn't have any problem with the French toast sticking. Just spray the bottom generously. Very easy to put together!

This was so easy to to. I really liked the fact that you prepare it the night before, which only takes 5 min! I used the big french loaf not the bagette so it only made 7 pieces but you need once piece!Good and fillinf!! I did increase the melted butter to 3 tablespoons and it made the pecans nice and buttery & toasted! This is a definite keeper!! Thank-you for sharing this wonderful recipe

This is a wonderful recipe for french toast! It couldn't be quicker or easier. Halfway through baking, I added the pecans and drizzled butter to prevent the pecans from browning too much. It came out perfect, lightly crisp on the outside and moist on the inside! Thanks for sharing, I'll be making this again!

This was so easy and I never seen my husband so enthusiastic over any French toast. I didn't let it sit overnight; I just let it sit an hour and then baked it. I doubled the cinnamon and added the pecans half-way through baking. Our local bakery has day old French bread almost every day....guess I will buying more!
