This sounded great, I love apples and pancakes. But it just wasn't what I had hoped for. The pancake was very blah and the fillings wasn't all that great either.
In my opinion, this was very blah. I had thought that the applesauce, tart green apples and cinnamon would enhance the plain batter, but really, the recipe needs a bit of sugar. I understand that this defeats the low point count for WW, though. Also, although the recipe doesn't currently state a bake time, even after 25 minutes the center of my filled pancake was not done. I sprinkled it with some cinnamon/sugar mix and picked around the edges of the pancake, but overall this recipe was a disappointment for me. I am sorry.
I found my new breakfast! I love it, I forgot to put the applesauce in, so it wasn't as sweet, but I will try next time, even so I really enjoyed this!
oh, I'm so disappointed. This didn't taste like a pancake, but more like smooth textured, mild cornbread. It might've been better with a bit of sugar in the batter, as there was a distinct taste of Baking Powder. It was a pretty presentation, though. Too bad it didn't taste as good as it looked.
This was very GOOD!! I made this for the April 2006 Pick a Chef Contest. The only suggestion I have is spread you apples out evenly and on as much as possible because you want them in every bite!! It is Very GOOD!!!
