  • 8 onions, small
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine, melted
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • salt and pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Peel onions, leaving bases intact and place in a baking dish.
  3. Combine butter and oil in a bowl.
  4. Brush onions liberally with mixture.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown.
