  1. Cooking onions brings out their sweetness. The bit of additional honey in this recipe put it over the edge. It is so simple and really tasty. I really like simple veggie dishes and this filled the bill. Glad you posted it Christine. Thanks

  2. I used two Vidalia onions, cut into quarters & placed them in a baking dish with a pork loin - baked them at 325F, occasionally basting the onions & the pork with the juices. The honey added a wonderful flavor to both the onions & the pork. Very good recipe - thanks for posting! -M

  4. Nice easy recipe! The first time I made them I thought the honey was overpowering. So next time I increased the butter and reduced the honey, and we loved them. Great side dish.

Tweaks

  1. Oh wow! I made this for tonight's dinner and I keep eating them--there's almost no more left to serve! I made it with margarine instead of butter, as I am serving it with a meat meal and I do not eat dairy with meat for religious reasons. Still fantastic. Can't wait to try it with butter!
