  • 1 12 lbs round steaks
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (8 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix

directions

  • Place steak in a greased 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Pour mushroom soup and 1/2 c water over steak and sprinkle with onion soup mix.
  • Cover and bake at 325 for 2 hours.

  1. Very salty!! This could probably be modified by substituting minced onion for the dry onion soup mix. I loaded it up with cranberry sauce to offset the saltiness. Because it was thin and a little crispy, it reminded me of a Chinese Crispy Beef dish. Apricot preserves or orange marmalade on top would be a good alternative to cranberry sauce. With a little tweaking, this could be a gem!
