This recipe is 2 points per serving. It's really good, tastes like oatmeal raisin cookies. It turns out almost like granola bars.
- 4 egg whites
- 14.79 ml canola oil
- 118.29 ml light brown sugar, packed
- 9.85 ml baking powder
- 1.23 ml salt
- 709.77 ml oats
- 0.59 ml cinnamon
- 44.37 ml raisins
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In medium bowl, beat egg whites with fork.
- Add oil, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and raisins.
- Mix well.
- Add oatmeal and mix well.
- Spread into a sprayed 13x9 pan
- Bake 25-30 min or until edges are light brown.
Some people aren't going to like this. But, if you are looking for high fiber and low everything else, this is the recipe. I may add a bit more cinnamon and raisins next time. Fast, easy, cheap. Will become a staple to go with breakfast, an easy way to git a hit of fiber. If you have any more recipes that fit this type of bill, ww or high fiber, low fat, share, share, share them!! Even with extra spices, I found these lacked flavor.
This is great! I'm trying to eat healthy and couldn't get oatmeal down! This is moister than other recipes I've tried and excellent with a little yogurt drizzled on top. Hubby gave it a thumbs up! (I used splenda, because I was out of regular brown sugar--and omitted raisins.) Good cold the next day, or warmed up in the microwave.
