MMMMMMM.......Me like! The oatage-meal slides down the gullet, like a fresh slippy fishy down to the grot of a bird. It fell apart in thy hand and burned thy skin. When too much was jammed into thy mouth, it stained thine platties. The little grains of cinnamon pleaded with me, "please don't eat me!" "I c...c....cc....can't! I must inhale thee little grains of cinnamon.

I love this recipe, I double the recipe and put all dry ingrediants in a bag, In the morning I simply add wet ingrediants to it and bake it, Makes my breakfast prep so fast and easy. Its so versatile too! my husband and kiddies love it with milk, I eat it with yogurt. Sometimes I simply make another pan in the evening and serve it warm with whipped creme and coffee. Its so filling, and sweet without being terribly unhealthy. I use oldfashioned oats.

Really good, I used old fashioned style oatmeal and subbed dried cranberries for the raisin and in a 8x8 pan. After baking 28 min., the texture was "scoopable" but would not have been able to cut into bars. That's ok as I wanted the oatmeal in a bowl w/ half & half. Flavor was delicious. Have added to my breakfast file.

Made these today as small muffins for a pancake brunch at the American Legion here in Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico. They got rave reviews and had to go home and print off the recipe for people. I followed the recipe using Mexican brown sugar, cinnamon, clove and dried cranberries. I also added chopped apples. Thanks for sharing with us!

It holds it's shape and crumbles a bit but it's not a cake so it's to be expected. After an overnight in the fridge it firmed up considerably so perhaps you need to let it fully cool. I added nutmeg and vanilla extract to this as well. Turned out yummylicious! House smelled great while it was baking!

Delicious not your average mushy oatmeal for breakfast or a snack anytime! Mine turned out like really soft oatmeal cookies which I enjoyed plain. I baked individual portions in a muffin tin. They each fell apart but I attribute that to not using real egg. I used organic gluten free quick cooking oats, egg replacer, canola oil, a bit less dark brown sugar, sea salt, gluten free baking powder, plain rice milk, double the cinnamon, dark raisins, and a peeled and chopped, in season Lobo apple. I will make this again possibly with dried cranberries.

I have to say after all the 5 star reviews i had my hopes up...like munchkin mama's, my oatmeal was crumbly, and i used the milk not water that she did. I did leave the raisins out but other than that i followed it exact. the taste was good but i wouldn't make it again because of the consistancy. Mine sure did not stay together like the pictures :(

Wow, this oatmeal is amazing!! I've tried lots of oatmeal recipes here on Zaar and this is my favorite! I even had to use water for the milk because my daughter has a dairy allergy. The consistency was crumbly (not sure if it was supposed to be that way or if it was just because of the water instead of milk) and it would make a super-great topping for vanilla ice cream. Serving size is right-on. So yummy and quick to prepare- will be making often. Thanks, Terri :)

This is so easy to make. I made three batches to bring to an event. Everyone loved it and multiple people asked for the recipe. I made one batch with raisins and the the other two batches I used dried cherries and cranberries. My one year old and husband couldn't get enough! Thanks for the great recipe!

We all love this . It is best warm .I usually heat up a square in the microwave for breakfast. Great with dried cranberries instead of raisins .i usually drizzle a little of maple syrup on top too. If you like the oatmeal to go bars , you will love this .

Made this for my DBF who loves oatmeal - added a little less sugar (1/4 cup) as he likes his oatmeal sugarless!! Had a piece and loved it!! thanks Terri! :)

well i listened to humblhousewifes advice and i also like a more dense baked oatmeal so i reduced the baking pwd to 1/2 tsp and upped the milk by about 1/2 cup and i put walnuts and vanilla in them.. i also made them into cupcake form so i could freeze them for a quick on the go breakfast.. with all these adjustments they were delicious and dense. thanks for a great starter recipe.

My kids enjoyed this, but I didn't. I guess I expected a super creamy warm oatmeal, but it was more like a cake. I would try it again but double the milk, or maybe even do half and half. I did add some grated nutmeg and allspice for extra flavour. I also used sultanas (golden raisins) instead of the raisins. The house smelled amazing!

This is a quick and easy dish. I used buttermilk instead of milk, and an apple instead of raisins, as well as increasing the cinnamon to a teaspoon and a half. However, my husband and I still didn't think this was sweet enough when done, so I topped the finished product with powdered sugar. That made it a lot tastier. Also, I baked this in a 9x9 pan for 21 minutes. Thanks for posting!

My 4 year old loved it, my 3 yo wouldn't touch it. But, is was very good. Tasted just like an oatmeal cookie. I had some buttermilk in the fridge, so I used that for the milk.

Great recipe! Didn't have any brown sugar, so I used white sugar and vanilla favoring instead. Added a little more cincinnamon, too. I don't eat oatmeal cereal because I don't like the texture of it. But I really like this. Tastes and smells like a oatmeal cookie. And the texture is almost the same as a soft oatmeal cookie. I baked it in a 9"x13" baking pan to decrease the baking time. Thanks.
