  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Rinse fish and put in a baking dish. Squeeze lemon juice on fish then sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper.
  • Mix mayonnaise and chopped onions and spread on fish. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and bake at 425°F for 25 minutes.

  1. 25 minutes at 425ºF is TOO LONG. Internal temp of MahiMahi should reach 137ºF when done. Baking at 425 for 25 you'll eat fishJerky.
     
  2. I am trying your recipe as a surprise for my wife. Do you cover the fish while baking
     
  3. … and the greens pictured beneath fish? … Spinach? … baked with fish? or separate? or raw???
     
  4. Can I sub the mayo for, Greek yogurt, or sour cream?

  1. Incredible! Tender and never dry, every time. Shared this with my parents and it's their favorite mahi mahi recipe. A regular in both our houses. I typically cut the amount of mayonnaise in half. Otherwise I don't change a thing because why mess with perfection.
     
  2. I substituded the mayo to improvise (didnt have it and dont really like it) with sour cream topped w/parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs! AMAZING <3

  4. I used low fat Duke's mayonnaise and a sprinkle of Whole Wheat panko, Next time I will use a little less mayo and add a blob of Dijon Mustard. Very very delicious. DH loved it, too.
     
  5. Thought the recipe was pretty simplistic. It was. But.....it turned out really very well. The flavor of the fish came through with good compliment from the mayo onion mix and seasonings. The cooking time is spot on, the fish was very good. Will use again. Made a balsamic vinaigrette salad to pair with it and and a hoppy IPA to wash it down. Great Sunday meal...

  1. I used Panko crumbs.
     
  2. I like it spicy! We did chives and tons of pickled hot jalepenos in the mayo goodness on top...then made it into Mahi Mahi fish tacos. This recipe ?? ROCKS! Preparing fish is daunting but this was so easy & INSANELY GOOD!!!
     
  3. This recipe is delicious. I added a sprinkle of cayenne pepper.

  5. I had no garlic salt so I used a blend of garlic powder & Himalayan pink sea salt which I had on hand. I also used dried diced onion flakes in the mayo along with adding a little grated parmesan cheese. DEFINITELY going to keep this recipe for future uses!
