This technique is so great! I loved how crispy and brown the fries got and how yummy they tasted. I have to admit that I didnt dry my fries too well after the soaking (just hurriedly with a paper towel), but it still worked out nicely.
I reduced the oil a tad and only baked these at 400?F for 30 minutes which was plenty.

- 5 -6 medium potatoes
- 3 tablespoons oil (separated)
- seasoning (optional)
Directions See How It's Made
- Preheat your oven to 475°F Cut the potatoes into sticks. Soak in water for 10 minutes then drain and pat dry.
- Toss with 2 T. oil and your seasonings.
- Coat a cookie sheet with a the rest of the oil. Bake the potatoes for about 45 minutes, checking after the first 20 minutes, then every 10 minutes after that.
