These were excellent thanks Rita. They held together perfectly and the texture and taste was wonderful. I did work the mixture in my hands until it was well combined though. I made them using crab we caught ourselves and served them with Roasted Lemon Potatoes With Artichokes. The strong lemon flavour of that worked perfectly with the natural sweetness of the crab. I can't get Old Bay seasoning, so Aussies take not, I used the Greek Nostimini seasoning instead and it was very good.

Used cheddar cheese and made exactly according to instructions. Not having made crab cakes before, I do not know what I did wrong but could not get the mixture to form into patties that would hold together. In the end baked the entire lot in an ovenproof dish. We had the dish with a crisp garden salad for a light lunch and quite enjoyed it. However, it was not outstanding and being from a region where crab meat is relatively scarce and quite expensive, I would probably not make this again.

I thought these were wonderful. I used Mozz. cheese since that's what I had on hand. Husband liked them!

Marvelous recipe for crab cakes! These have excellent flavor and texture. I added some chopped, sauted vegetables (bell pepper, carrot, and onion) for color and flavor. I used parmesan cheese, and faux crab meat, as I had it on hand.
