Baked Chicken in Gravy

- 2 lbs chicken breasts
- 1⁄4 cup flour
- 1⁄4 cup melted butter
- 6 slices American cheese
- 1 1⁄2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1⁄4 cup minced onion
- 2⁄3 cup evaporated milk
- 1 (10 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
directions
- Coat chicken with flour.
- Pour melted butter into a foil baking pan. Place chicken in butter. Bake uncovered at 425 for 30 minutes.
- Turn chicken and bake 20 minutes longer. Remove from oven. Pour off liquid.
- Top chicken with cheese, mushroom and onion. Combine milk, soup, salt and pepper. Pour over all.
- Allow to cool. Cover with foil. Label and freeze.
- To serve: thaw. Bake covered at 350 for 45 minutes. Serve with rice or noodles.

I can't stop eating it, and I've eaten myself into a food coma. <br /><br />4 Stars The recipe is wonderful as is. I can't think of a single improvement and I will most likely make it again. <br /><br />3 Stars This needed a little *something*something*. I might make it again, but will add my own improvements if I do. <br /><br />I love to eat! And I love to cook. I tend to take over the kitchen when I get in there. Even the dog knows the command get outta my kitchen! LOL. Cooking for other people and trying new recipes or foods is FUN!
