- 3 slices bacon
- 1 medium onion, peeled and chopped
- 3 (16 ounce) cans pork and beans, undrained
- 1⁄2 cup ketchup
- 1⁄2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- Preheat oven to 350°F Cook bacon until crisp; remove from skillet and drain on paper towels. Crumble bacon and set aside. Add onion to skillet and sauté until golden. Remove from heat and stir in crumbled bacon and remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour into a greased 1 1/2- to 2-quart baking dish. Bake, uncovered, for 30 to 40 minutes.
