These were really tasty little scrolls! I actually made mine vegetarian with some baked beans I had leftover from another dish. Although I plan to make them again with pepperoni for my hubby. What a fun recipe. Thank you for sharing Tisme! [Made for I Recommend Tag]
This was a big hit at our house! I left out the onion and used bacon instead of salami as I had some on hand. The dough was so easy to make homemade and cooked up nicely with the bean filling. Served some with soup; the leftovers will be great as a hearty snack on their own. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
OMG !! Loved the simplicity of this recipe, though I made two different batches, one without onions for myself and one of my kids these were GOBBLED down and definately enjoyed. Really enjoyed the new use of baked beans here. A keeper here. Made for Recipe Swap.
The DM and I have just gobbled these all up - I used a cup of my recipe of Quick Boston Baked Beans and a sheet of ready roll puff pastry measuring 24cm x 24cm, so made it all super simple with 15 minutes in the oven at 180C fan forced, 12 delectable rolls ready to be eaten. Thank you Tisme, made as a recipenap for Aussie Swap #25 - February 2009.
Very easy and delicious! I used a 400 gr packet of frozen puff pastry, since I had it ready, not having read through the recipe first! another time I will make the pastry, but this time, it meant that this was very quickly made, and it worked well! I used a beaten egg to brush the scrolls, and the result was beautiful little savoury treats that disappeared in a twinkling! I made them on a Sunday afternoon, in between doing the ironing, multi-tasking! Thanks for a great snack that I'll be making again, , Tisme!
