The only change I made was to use my homemade apple pie filling that I had frozen. Just thawed it out and used that in place of the canned stuff. We thought it was pretty good and we have another one in the freezer.
I followed this recipe exactly and even dried out the texas toast that I used. I ended up with a lot to throw away. We did manage to eat some around the edges of the pan that was really cooked. I didn't like the cream cheese, but my husband did. My kids who are not at all picky, barely ate this. I baked it without freezing it.
