"My mom made this salad a lot when I was growing up. Just found out she is still making it and serving it in the exact same bowl."

  1. We eat this salad at least once a week now that it's hot out. I don't make the dressing - we just use bottled.

  2. What a delicious recipe! I made everything exactly to directions with the exception of the avocado - I don't like them. I might add halved grape tomatoes to this the next time I make it. This is going to be a summertime salad favorite I can tell. Thanks for posting this recipe and joining our recipe swap!

OK lets see...My name is Diane and I'm married to a wonderful guy -- going on 20 years. We have 2 kids -- 1 daughter and 1 son a 70lb german shepard, a fat cat and a very snobby cat! I work a couple of days a week in the Loop and the rest of my time is spent sitting at the kids sporting events. I love to try new recipes. Luckily, hubby will try just about anything. The kids aren't so eager about that, but are generally very good sports about it!
