I found this recipe in the December 2012 issue of Cooking Light magazine. It is a simple way to dress up broccoli.
- 12 ounces broccoli florets
- 2 slices centered cut bacon
- 1⁄4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
- Place broccoli in a large pan of boiling water. Cook three to five minutes or until broccoli is crisp tender; drain. Fry bacon in a non-stick skillet. Remove bacon with slotted spoon and crumble. Add broccoli, bacon, salt, and pepper to bacon drippings. Coat broccoli. Cook for one minute.
Very easy to make, and a fantastic and different way to cook broccoli.
We loved it here served with our roast.
Thanks Miss Fannie.
