I made these for my family for the Superbowl!! 17 yo DS doesn't care for bacon, so I made 1/2 with the bacon and other without and we all enjoyed the nachos. I used the jar type of already minced jalapeno peppers and followed it all as written. I am a bacon lover so this is something I will also make for my weekday lunches. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Made for PRMR.

Delicious! There is always a place for fresh jalapenos and pickled, and I think pickled worked out perfect on these :) Added some chopped tomatoes before serving, yum!

The other commenter was right: these do taste just like potato skins, but with way less effort!

We made some changes to make this easy recipe even easier.

We used real bacon bits from Costco (their bacon bits are fantastic, if you haven't tried them) and so were able to skip the bacon-cooking step. We threw in a whole jar of pickled jalapenos, and did not measure any of the ingredients.

Yum! Thank you for posting.

My son made these for us this weekend and they were really good! We used fresh jalapeno's (his preference). We will definitely be making these again. Thanks for posting!

Easy and delicious! This made for a great snack. I used fresh jalapeno. I liked them as they were without needing to add sour cream and salsa. Thanks for sharing!

This was very good. I'd never thought of using bacon on nachos. It tasted almost like potato skins! I found it a little salty, so next time I'll use reduced sodium bacon. Great nachos! Made for Potluck tag.

Amazing! Amazing! I followed this absolutely, except used fresh jalapenos from the greenhouse, and green onion also sprouting. The bacon was cooked a long time so it rendered the fat, (about 15 minutes) so it was as crispy as a started shirt just off the ironing board. They were quicker then a rabbit grabbing a cabbage out of the garden, and so tasty, I could of eaten them all. However, I tasted one and the rest went out on the coffee - table where people had their feet propped up and were enjoying the evening. Very, very nice! Will make these again, soon. I might make a vegetarian version using Morningstar bacon, and Tofuti Sour Cream. Oh wonderful, and thank you! Made for *Everyday is a Holiday* Fall 2008

These were a lovely snack. Thank you so much for sharing Appleydapply. Since I didn't have pickled jalapenos, I used fresh ones which I finely diced and added to the chips. We enjoyed the combination of textures and flavors in this dish, the salty tortillia chips, crispy maple bacon, sweet onion, fresh jalapenos, snappy Monterey Jack cheese, thick sour cream and hot & spicy salsa. Thanks for a lovely alternative to ground beef. I will definitely be making these little babies again.
