Bacon Egg Spaghetti

"My husband was born in Germany. This was a traditional meal that he has now passed on to our children. The kids love it (especially with ketchup for some strange reason)."

  1. Ah, this brings back memories... My PennDutch mother used to make this on rainy days. The perfect german comfort food. I made it tonight for my family and even my husband (who was skeptical at first) enjoyed it. I did add some grated cheese to the scrambled eggs to up the protein content a bit. I second the addition of maple syrup! Other toppings we used to use: stewed tomatoes, ketchup, hot sauce/salsa, parmesan cheese.

  2. When i was in elementary school my family had an exchange student from Germany. She introduced my family to this. She was a vegetarian however and didn't do bacon. It was just leftover pasta and eggs. DELICIOUS. I top it with maple syrup. Sounds gross, i know, but I just love this!
