  1. Delicious bread with wonderful cheddar bacon flavor. Disappeared quickly at my house. Perfect to go with a bowl of soup.

  2. This is a flavorful bread with a very pleasant, soft texture and crisp crust. I made bacon in the microwave and crumbled it into the bread. I baked it in the machine, and the house smelled absolutely divine while it was cooking. I can't wait to see what it's like when it's toasted. Thanks for posting! P.S. I've now toasted it, and it's delicious!

  3. I love homemade bread and this is a good one! The cheese and bacon are subtle and allow the bread to keep a great soft texture. Terrific - thanks for sharing the recipe!

  4. This was so good! My small family managed to eat the whole loaf in two days. I'm new to my bread machine and I missed the add in beep so after the dough cycle I hand mixed in the (real) bacon and 1 cup of medium cheddar, placed in pan, and let rise on my stove while the oven was preheating. I let it sit until it rose nicely again, about a half hour. I then baked in a 350 degree oven for about a half hour. It was a nice delicious loaf of bread to go with my bean and bacon soup. Perfect!

  5. Very nice dough that handled easily. I used real bacon, and chopped it before cooking, to render out more of the fat. I used a sharpish cheese, but possibly need to use extra sharp or use more cheese I mixed in the bread machine, but baked at 350 deg. for about 40 minutes. It rose well and maintained its shape. Sliced very easily for sandwiches.
