Very good breakfast sandwich. I often make breakfast sandwiches, but I make mine with ham and a fried egg with american cheese and mayo on toast. This made for a nice change of pace. I think next time I am going to spread some mayo on the bread before grilling the sandwich. Made for Aug 2010 Aus/NZ Swap.

The DM and I thoroughly enjoyed this for breakfast this morning though I did make it as an open sandwich as we are restricted to 1 slice of wholemeal/wholegrain bread for breakfast - I toasted the slice in the toaster and lightly buttered it and then topped the scrambled egg, cooked bacon (done in the oven) and a slice of vintage cheddar and a little freshly ground black pepper and put under the grill/broiler till the cheese was melted and bubbly. Thank you gailanng for a great breakfast, made for New Kid on the Block.

Delicious! Cheddar jack cheese was great with the bacon and egg. I used the ready-to-eat bacon so this was a breeze to put together. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Hearty and satisfying enough to subdue the rumbliest of grizzly bear tums...add a dash of hot sauce to the egg, and he'll be eating out of the palm of your hand!!
Awesome x

Hey what a easy different and really tasty breakfast idea. I made as directed, placed a buttered slice of bread in heated frypan then put the cheese on top of the bread and heated while I microwaved the bacon and cooked the egg. When they were done I put those on the sandwich and topped with the other slice of bread. By the time I was done with that it was ready to turn. No soggy sandwich my DH thought it was great even mentioned it to other people. Thanks so much for posting! Update: My DH request this sandwich on a weekly basis. I only use one egg and alternate with bacon, ham and sausage which are all excellent. Wish I had more breakfast ideas like this one. Again my many thanks!!

I've made bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches before, but never grilled them...just used toast. This is much better....!

Good sandwich!! I like that there is not a ton of eggs on it; will have to try also with a fried egg. Made as is with white bread. Had one for breakfast and wrapped up the other for DH to take to work tomorrow. Made for I Recommend Tag.

Yum! I made 1 sandwich with American cheese and used some leftover bacon from Candied Bacon. I seemed to be a little clumsy with turning the sandwich because I kept losing some of the eggs, lol. Very easy and good. Thanks GailAnn for a new keeper. Made for I Recommend Tag.
