Classic recipe. I was in a hurry, so I made them in a 9 x 13 pan and cut into squares. Took about 30 minutes to bake.
Excellent. Added 1/2 bag of toffee crumbles to mix instead of nuts. Cooked on parchment paper so no clean up.
Excellent. I used this recipe to make one big gigantic birthday cookie for my daughter's birthday and everyone loved it (and asked for the recipe).
This is my go-to chocolate chip cookie recipe. You just can't go wrong! Made these for DH tonight. So tasty. Slightly crunchy on the edges and soft in the middle. Yum! Definitely be making these again and again!
These cookies are so good, and the recipe is flexible enough for a few changes: I used 2 c. whole wheat flour and 1/4 c. oat flour. I also substituted Spectrum Organic All-Vegetable Shortening for the 1 c. butter, and used a cup (2 servings) of Egg Beaters in place of the 2 large eggs. I used chopped pecans, Reeses Pieces peanut butter chips, and broke up a Hershey's chocolate bar to add to the recipe because I was out of chocolate chips. The cookies were beautifully formed and so delicious, even with all of the "healthier" substitutions in place. This is a good recipe.
i thororughly enjoyed this cookies but i have triedx3 to make them and today was the third in which the same thing happened. they came togetheras on big cookie!!! do u think moreflour or butter would have helped with less sugar because the sugar amount was WOAH lol ok bye 4 now ciao
Awesome cookies! I didn't have granulated sugar so I used ordinary white sugar and they still rocked! I also didn't have that brand of chocolate chips so I used chocolate drops instead. Made around 31 cookies that were delicious and chocolatey. Also, instead of beating the flour mixture in with the sugar/butter mixture I used my hands to fold and mix it in. Worked great! Will make these cookies again!
Wow - these cookies are great, I'm tempted to quit my job and open up a cookie shop! For a first time cookie cook (sorry..) it was so simple, and will now be on high rotation :) Thanks!
I added half a teaspoon of almond extract with the vanilla. Also, halfway through baking, added a cup of brandy soaked raisins to the remaining dough. Let me know what you think.
