- 1 1⁄2 cups chicken broth
- 20 baby carrots or 2 large carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 small orange, peeled and diced
- Combine chicken broth, carrots, and sugar in a medium saucepan.
- Heat to boiling; reduce heat and cook, covered for 5 minutes.
- Uncover and boil until carrots are tender and liquid is almost absorbed, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in orange and serve.
