B&J Hot Fudge

No stabilizers, no corn syrup. Just chocolatey goodness.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 12 cup butter
  • 34 cup cocoa
  • 2 cups sugar, superfine preferred
  • 12 cup milk
  • 12 cup heavy cream

Directions

  1. Combine chocolate and butter in top of double boiler and stir often until melted.
  2. Add cocoa, whisking until smooth.
  3. Gradually add sugar (should resemble wet sand in consistency), then cook 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Gradually add milk and cream (I prefer to heat them first in the microwave to save some time).
  5. Cook, stirring occasionally, for one hour until fudge is completely smooth and all sugar is dissolved.
  6. Variations: Add 1/4 tsp peppermint extract OR 3 T Grand Marnier OR 1/2 tsp almond extract.
