This is a great sandwich. I used 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts & only used 2 tbsp melted lite butter, 1/2 tsp garlic powder & 1/4 tsp dried parsley. I spread it on both sides of the sandwich buns before toasting them & the taste was wonderful. Didn't use any mayo; the taste was good as is. I loved how quick this was, too. Thanks so much!
I tried it and it was very good. I didn't need mayo. Thanks for posting.
I had some dry shredded chicken I made from another recipe & this really saved it. Thanks!
When my family asked me what was for supper they groaned when I told them chicken patty sandwhiches. But mom, they are SO boring! Not anymore-they gobbled this up!
This was a very good sandwich! We loved the garlic buttered bun. We used italian seasoning in place of the parsley. We also added mushrooms to the carmelized onions and topped it off with some swiss cheese. Next time my husband wants to try it with roasted red pepper in place of the tomato. We also used horseradish sauce in place of the mayo. Thanks for the great sandwich idea!
What a great twist on a sandwich roll! I used the already cooked, breaded, low-fat chicken breast patties and the sandwiches were delicious, even without the mayo as the tomatoes gave the sandwich plenty of moisture. I also used margarine instead of butter and omitted the salt. These are a definite keeper!
Wow ~ awesome is right!! I made these for dinner last night and we all yummed our way through our sandwich. I grilled boneless chicken breasts using marinade Lemon Garlic Marinade for Chicken which was a perfect choice. I served the chicken on the toasted rolls with the spread and fresh garden tomatoes. A perfect dinner for a HOT night. Thanks for posting a definite keeper!
Great sandwich. We really enjoyed the butter and garlic toasted buns and will continue to do so in the future. Added cheddar to ours. Thank you.
Excellent sandwich as it is. The second time I made them I used leftover chicken breast tenderloins that had been cooked with salsa and I added a slice of jack cheese! Next time I think I will use leftover teriyaki chicken just to see what THAT tastes like! Absolutely divine sandwich and so very fast! Thanks so much for posting!
