Avocado, Tomato & Feta Cheese Appetizer

"This came in the mail from a Ralphs Grocery Store flyer. My whole family loved it. I didn't have cumin, so I used coriander and it was great. I served this with "Sesame Thin" crackers from Trader Joes and "Just Chips" from Just Off Melrose."

  1. Delicious, doubled up well and took to a charity event. Very popular and was asked for the recipe several times. I did go heavy on the feta cheese, about 1.5 ounces in my double batch and light on the olive oil.

  2. Thank you for posting this! I made this several times but recently lost the recipe card. So happy to have it again =) Delicious and such a crowd pleaser - I always double the recipe!

  3. This is such a hit at dinner parties, Super Bowl parties, etc. I substitute ground Chipotle Chile Pepper for the cumin and the smokey taste is amazing! Also have omitted the oil without any effect. Try it, you'll love it!

  4. We have had this twice at parties and both times it has been very popular. It is also delicious without the feta cheese.

  5. My favorite dip recipe! I use shallots instead of red onion and increase the (vegan) feta by 1/2....I usually eat it with nacho chips but decided to try it as a topping/dressing on a salad the last time I made it, and it was amazing. I simply ladeled in a big spoonful like you would do if it was chicken salad over lettuce (rather than stirring it in, so the avocado doesnt get too mushy)
