Avocado Mandarin Tossed Salad

Crunchy toasted pecans and slices of creamy avocado and crisp salad greens. A lovely complement to pork.

We really enjoyed the combination of flavors. I did eliminate the standing time, tossing everything together at serving time. The recipe went together quickly. I used a spring mix for the lettuces.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 can mandarin orange, drained
  • 12 cup green onion, thinly sliced
  • 13 cup pecans, toasted and coarsley chopped
  • 18 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 cups salad greens, torn
  • 1 avocado, ripe,peeled and sliced
  • 14 cup Italian salad dressing, prepared


  1. In a bowl, combine the oranges, onions, pecans and pepper, refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Just before serving, place the greens in a salad bowl; top with orange mixture and avocado slices.
  3. Drizzle with dressing.
