This has been my "go to" recipe for authentic flavor and preparation! My husband is Mexican and I am always trying to recreate dishes her grew up with. One ingredient I always add to this is a can of green enchilada sauce. It adds a depth of flavor we love! I have made both rojo and verde style pozole but the verde is our favorite. Great recipe here!!!

"It tastes like in Mexico!" my kids said. JalapeƱos alone gave enough heat for our taste. I recommend using lime, not lemon, if you can. Freshly squeezed lime juice makes a difference. In Mexico it was always served with lime. We used napa cabbage for garnishing. Definitely a keeper. It's exactly what we've been looking for. Delicioso. Thanks for sharing!

Soooooooooo yummy! My husband and I both love this recipe. I've made it in the crockpot with pork loin or boneless chops, which makes it really easy. Just toss all of the ingredients together in the slow cooker and cook all day...Delicioso!

WE LOVE, and my honey actually likes his veggies (garnishes). subbed precooked pork, added the cumin and oregano with other spices. subbed 1 cup chopped jalapenos for the canned chilis. suated them wiht the onion and garlic. prefer the juanita's brand hominy. better flavor, texture, and less additives. used only 1/2 tbsp salt. for work lunches, chop garnishs sprinkle with lemon juice. when time to eat heat soup and dump veggies on top. use atleast a whole bunch of cilantro.

I tried pozole in a mexican restaurant a few months ago and loved it. So I tried this recipe and I think this is so much better than the restaurant's. It is wonderful and spicy and I loved the jalepenos in it. Great recipe!

My whole family loves this. It is a little warm for some but we modify it a little. I use pigs feet in cheese cloth for the flavor and none of the feet meet.

Lovely flavor! This keeps my husband around, or at least home in time for dinner. LOL I use pork chops instead of the shoulder and still comes out wonderful. A must have is cabbage, radish, lime, and cilantro for garnishment. Try it you'll love it!

Great recipe! I have made this a bunch of times for get-togethers, and it always goes! I have also substituted chicken for the pork, and it turns out just as fantastic! Thanks for posting this!

Decided to whip up a batch of this over the weekend, and so glad I did. I followed the receipt to a T, no adjustments (although I left out the optional ancho chilis & used homemade corn tortillas instead of store bought). For the recipe I used NM Green Hatch peppers, de-seeded & de-seeded the jalapeno too...it provided the perfect amount of heat for me as I like a medium spice level. My husband and I enjoyed it very much & will definitely be making again.

I have never made nor eaten this. It is super delicious though! I cubed my meat before cooking to save a step. I also did not use jalapenos, was worried it would be too spicy for the kids. I did add all the chili mixture. I did not think this was spicy, next time I will try jalapenos also. AWESOME flavor & I will definitely be making this again!
