Yum! We used fresh dolphin which was cooked to perfection in 10 minutes. For a thinner fish like snapper I'd probably reduce the oven temperature. This makes lots of sauce - maybe enough for 5 pounds of fish.
Perfection for a Spring nite. This is as beautiful a dish as it is to devour. You could serve this for so many things. At a shower, (cut in smaller pieces, with that beautiful sauce over/top) for a wonderful dinner presentation, a brunch, anything, anytime! I followed this exactly, except used fresh chives instead of the grated onion. The colors of the sauce were so pretty! I used tilapia, and some mild cheddar cheese in the sauce. I used fresh tuna for the fish, and used cream cheese and Extra sharp Cheddar for the cheese. It was a delightful combination and blended really well with the fish. This will be made again!
This is really simple, delicious, and unusual. I used a cheddar cheese as suggested. I loved how all these flavors came together with the salmon fillet. This made a lot of sauce and I did try the reduction method. I think next time I will only use a 1 to 1 1/2 cups cream. Thanks, Debbie R.! Made for ZWT5.
I really enjoyed this! Loved the sauce! For my 1/2 cup of cheese I used cheddar and I also added 4 oz of cream cheese. It had a nice flavor and was definitely creamy. For my fish I used salmon (my fav). The leftovers from this are really good kind of chopped and put over toast or hot biscuits... YUM! I just love this recipe. Thanks Debbie! :)
Wonderully tasty fish! I thought fish sauce with cream sounded odd, but everything went well together. I used sharp cheddar for the "tasty cheese" and my fish fillets were haddock fillets. Thanx for a lovely new fish recipe.
