- 1 (8 count) can crescent rolls
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 2 cups chopped cooked chicken
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese (softened)
- 3 tablespoons butter (melted) or 3 tablespoons margarine (melted)
- 1 tablespoon chopped onion
- salt and pepper (to taste)
- 2 tablespoons milk
directions
- Mix cream cheese and butter until smooth and add 2Tablespoon milk, onion, and salt and pepper. Add chicken to this and mix well. In saucepan mix 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup cheese, and soup. Heat until cheese melts but do not boil. Put part of soup mixture in bottom of casserole dish. Roll chicken mixture in crescent rolls and lay on soup in dish. Put rest of soup on rolls. Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 325 for 30 minutes.

This was tasty. I used green onion since it didn't specify which kind. I added 1 clove of garlic, some parsley, & pepper to the filling. Also I used parmesan cheese since I wasn't sure what 'grated cheese' meant. I crammed those crescents as full as I could, and then stirred the reaming filling into the sauce. I served it alongside steamed broccoli - perfect blend! Great way to use leftover chicken!
