- 1 baked pie shell
- 4 cups cooked asparagus
- 3 hardboiled egg, diced coarse
- 1 1⁄2 cups shredded medium sharp cheddar
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 tablespoon chives

- Set oven to 400°F Make white sauce by melting 1 tablespoon butter; add flour and stir 1 to 2 minutes. Add milk; stir and bring to a boil. When it becomes thick, add bouillon, chives and 1/2 cup cheddar cheese.
- Once the cheese melts, add asparagus and eggs. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour into baked pie shell. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 400°F for 10 to 15 minutes.
