We used about 1/4 cup of cheese. Like the flavors. The amount of asparagus made it tough for my kids (1 and 3) so I would make this again but chop the asparagus up a little smaller for them to be able to eat it as part of the "egg pie" and not have to pull it out to eat separately.
I give this a negative rating. A full pound of asparagus is way too much. Also, too, too salty. Between the cheese and the added tsp of salt, my tongue felt burnt. Sorry, cut back on the cheddar, and half of the asparagus, and delete the salt. It might be okay.
Tasty. I was concerned about the spice combination but the results were yummy.
This Quiche was really yummy. I liked the fresh asaragus that was included. I also included 2 pieces of porkroll to please the men in my home. It was a big hit!

Wonderful; made this when I had company for the weekend and everyone enjoyed it. I did change a few things just due to personal preferance - used a pre-made pie crust, added cooked - crumbled bacon, and used swiss cheese. YUM - it was so good, I was a little nervous about the mustard but it was great, just a very subtle (sp) extra that really made a nice differance from others I've tried. It looked really pretty right out of the oven and tasted even better. Held it's shape well when cut and had a great creamy texture. Had a little left over and reheated the next day and it was even better. Thanks Irma for posting a great recipe.
