Excellent flavors in this salad. I did add more veggies but made as written. Loved it on this humid day.
Having lost our A/C at the height of a heat wave, I was looking for a good meal with little cooking. This fit the bill very well and has a nice flavor profile. Did substitute sliced water chestnuts for the canned corn as I had none in the pantry.
YUM. I, too, used leftover grilled salmon for this and it was delicious! I don't think it lacked anything, I loved the dressing. I think I would like it even without the salmon!
A great way to use leftover salmon. I think it may have benefitted from the addition of something hot and spicy. Step 3 mentions adding cucumber but it's not in the ingredients list.
Mmmmm, delicous! I made it for a light dinner tonight. My husband enjoyed it as well. I didn't have any cucumber so I added fresh sliced mushrooms...and also had to use dried cilantro leaves instead of coriander. The dressing was light and tasty too.
This provides a nice change of pace for the brown bag lunch. The DH and I loved the crunch and sweet, salty, nutty taste. I had the following in the fridge, and added them to the bowl: 5oz of Rainbow (broccoli/ cabbage salad), 1/2 of an orange pepper, and 1/2 of a small zucchini. To accomodate the bulk of extra veggies, I doubled the dressing. We'll be making this again!
This was delicious and a nice change of pace from the same-old pasta salad. It was easy to throw together and took very little time overall. I used whole wheat spaghetti, substituted red bell pepper for the cucumber(since that's what I had on hand), and used roasted garlic flavored rice vinegar. I also doubled the recipe but only added 6 tsp of sesame oil instead of 8 -- it's so flavorful I might use even less next time! YUM! This salad made for a delicious lunch and I can't wait to taste it after it rests overnight! I'll definitely be making this again!
Very nice blend of flavors. Loved the ease of prep. I used some leftover salmon to make this for our work lunches and it was wonderful.
This was so good! I ended up fighting for the leftovers with my husband. This gets even better after being in the frige over night. Yummy!
I truly enjoyed this, I did modify it a bit to work with what I had on hand. I used slices of smoked tuna packed in sesame oil and added about a tablespoon of sweet chilli sauce to the dressing. This was very good. A definite keeper - Thanks, Ev.
