This cocktail is made with pear nectar which I feel lends a more natural tasting cocktail then those made with apple pucker or pear liqueur. I muddle fresh mint from my backyard herbs.

  1. Muddle the mint, juice from 3 lime wedges and sugar.
  2. Add 2 Oz of Rum
  3. Add the pear nectar
  4. Add 8 ice cubes
  5. Shake vigorously
  6. Strain into the glass full of crushed ice
  7. Top the drink with club soda
  8. Add sprig of fresh mint, lime wedge and pear slices.

This was a really tasty cocktail to sip on. I think the key is taking it easy with Step #7, which states to top it off with Club Soda...do so sparingly, as it can easily get watered down with too much extra Club Soda.
