Asian Grilled Green Beans

  • In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Add the beans, onion and mushrooms; toss to coat.
  • Place half of the vegetables on a double thickness of heavy-duty foil (about 18 inches square); fold foil around vegetables and seal tightly. Repeat with remaining vegetables.
  • Grill, covered, over medium heat for 18-22 minutes or until beans are tender, turning packets over several times to get an even coating of the sauce on all the vegetables. Open foil carefully to allow steam to escape.

  2. This is a great way to cook vege's when you're grilling. Easy to prepare, and everyone asking for more. Next time I will reduce the red pepper to 1/4 teaspoon. Loved it!
     
  3. We loved this! Our kind of food. Love packet cooking. Assembled earlier in day. Served with grilled Italian sausage and roasted butternut squash and for dessert chocolate lava cakes. Did reduce sesame oil but otherwise made as posted. Thank you for post.
     
  4. These were soooo good! I made about 1/2 lb and had to cook them in the oven since I am out of propane so I did add a little extra sauce to make sure there was enough. I cooked them @ 400 degrees F for about 15 minutes and they were nice and tender. I also sliced the mushrooms and diced the onion to make sure they cooked through. Will be making these again! Made for ZWT9.
     
  5. So easy to throw together and toss on the grill. I liked the little bit of sweetness from the brown sugar and onion. Made for the Hot Pink Panthers, ZWT 9.

I don't like to cook things that require going to specialized grocery stores. I subscribe to several cooking magazines, that usually, require everyday on-hand ingredients. <br /><br />I am not very fond of most seafood, but do enjoy lobster, grilled shrimp and chilean sea bass. I won't cook anything with rosemary or curry, as I really don't like either herbs' flavor.
