  1. In a large bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, and red onion.
  2. Stir in the black pepper, red pepper flakes, sesame seeds, leeks and carrot.
  3. Mix in the meat by hand to ensure even coating.
  4. Cover, and let marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  5. Brush the bottom half of a wok with cooking oil, and heat over med-high heat.
  6. Put in all of the meat and marinade at once, and cook stirring constantly. The meat will be cooked after just a few minutes.
  7. Remove from heat, and serve with rice or noodles.
  8. For Korean style fire meat, roll the meat mixture up in a leaf of red lettuce.

This was good but not very spicy. I will add hot sauce next time I make it.

Amazing! My husband and I absolutely loved this recipe!!! Only thing we did differently was add some dried chili peppers and a little extra red pepper to the marinade. It gave it the perfect amount of heat without being too spicy to overpower the flavor. Delicious!

Very quick and easy :)

I left the marinade time out because I didn't have any time but I still thought it tasted great. I didn't cut the meat paper thin though b/c personally I don't like the texture. I did add one Thai pepper and that was enough heat. I just threw everything into the pot after mixing the mixture together. Oh and I added sliced asparagus :)
