Excellent with some adjustments: drain the green beans! I sauteed an onion with extra garlic, added the additional ingredients and baked for 30 minutes. This casserole is very popular in New Orleans for the holidays.
VERY wet !! I made as listed, and even thinking 1/2 cup olive oil was a LOT -- just made it a tad short. Flavor was good -- reminded us of "something else". never identified ! Have leftovers for AT LEAST 2 more meals. May add some herbs. Next time, I would drain 1 can of beans. Thanks, Stephanie for a "different" Wednesday night taste ! Janey
I was scared to use two undrained cans of green beans so I drained one but I still enjoyed this! I would increase the breadcrumbs a bit next time but overall, a tasty and different type of casserole. Thank you!
This was such a nice addition to my Christmas table. Everyone loved it! I used frozen french cut green beans, flash cooked them so that they were crisp, then used them in the recipe. I doubled it as well because I was feeding so many people...It was delicious! The artichokes were a great addition. Thank you for a great recipe that is sure to be a keeper!
I liked this recipe. But I made a mistake by using marinated artichokes. I did drain them but the flavor of the marinate was too overpowering. I will be making this again but next time I will use plain artichokes. Thanks
Stephanie, I really enjoyed this casserole! I love the taste of artichokes and there was a lot of good artichoke flavor! Nice dish! Thanks for posting this one!
This side dish was awesome! I followed the directions for the most part. I ran out of olive oil, so used only about 1/3 cup, but it seemed to work out OK. I also added a little black pepper. My family gets tired of the same old veggies, so this was a treat, which I'm sure I will be making again soon!
